My Verdict

If you've been following me lately then you much I'm not a nail art lover at all but some time back I quite got a fancy for flocking nail art and Caviar nail art. I didn't forget the day when I first tried my nail art stamping kit by Born Pretty. Flocking nail art is something I've been seeing on many blogs and seen on YouTube, but I never dared to try it as I'm drastically bad at creating nail art, but I couldn't stop myself ordered flocking powder manicure kit from born pretty store that is a larger nail supply store selling collection of professional nail supplies and saloon nail art supplies on a larger scale without making dent in your pocket.

Born Prertty 12 Pcs Fun Flocking Powder Manicure Nail Art Kit  comes with a 12 jars of nail flocking powder. Each jar holds 3gm of colored nail powder for flocking. Colors included in the kit are :

  • White.
  • Gray.
  • Black.
  • Sky Blue.
  • Blue.
  • Purple.
  • Pink.
  • Red.
  • Hot Pink.
  • Candy Green.
  • Orange &
  • Maroon Red

A newbie at nail art like me even found this powder surprisingly easy to work with as an application is SO easy. I had no problem at all getting all of the powder off from my nails as I used my fan brush for that purpose.

How to use :
  • Lay down old newspapers or plastic to protect the work area.
  • Apply base coat on your nails, wait it dry.
  • Apply nail polish (the same color as the Velvet Powder), wait it dry.
  • Apply nail polish again, then immediately put the Velvet Powder on your nail, then allow to dry (use the tweezer to mix the velvet powder before using).
  • Use the black brush to sweep away excess velvet, which can be captured in the accompanying tray. Don't discard it-pour it back into the jar.
  • Having 3D texture, there's no need for a top coat.
Below I've stated step by step tutorial.
  • Base coat Sally Hansen Maximum Growth.
  • Nail Polish Bourjois second innovation nail paint in no.16.
  • Flocking powder in orange color.
  • Fan brush to sweet away excess flocking powder.

Just four easy steps are you are done!! The nail flocking powder gives absolutely amazing fuzzy texture to nails and reminds me of Zoya Pixidust nail lacquers. They do look very hairy and textured, but when touched they don't feel hairy or rough at all. But yeah I was anxious it isn't going to sustain after washing hand, but to my utter surprise it stayed there intact ^_^ Even after washing several times (test period) I noticed just a VERY small wear off from the edges only.

Overall I'd say I seriously recommend Born Pretty 12 Pcs Fun Flocking Powder Manicure Nail Art Kit to everyone who are into nail art or wants to give a nice VELVETY twist from those regular glossy, glittered or satin nail finishes. I've tried few other colors and all came out pretty amazing, but my favorite of all is Polka dots and a hot pink one.
