E.L.F Studio HD Blush
Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.
At last, I've jumped cliches for liquid blushes (creme blushes) after reading countless positive reviews about them as the look reminiscent of the super famous MUFE HD Blushes but before spending $26 on the product which I was not sure about that going to suit me and easier to work with, I decided to splurge on this baby which is just $3 as they do share quite a lot similarities along with their similar packaging and the über pigmentation holds up to the mark, the wear time and both the names having word HD in their name and same way of application.
Unfortunately the color choice is too narrow, but you can't complain about the shades in the range not showing up having too light or too dark complexions as this all five colors are gorgeous and definitely caters to all comlexions. I've got it in Diva which is beautiful cool toned hot pink and has very subtle sparkling glitters scattered across but upon application its hard to notice that the blush has got shimmer them and the plus point is it doesn't emphasize any skin imperfections. Diva is crazily vibrant and much of a Barbie pink kind and I was afraid that I'll not be able to blend enough to but once I blended out it gives out the healthy pop of pink wash without being disco ball or clown cheeks. Just remember, the more you blend, the more sparkles will be disappeared.
The biggest plus point is, although its liquid blush but it doesn't make my face oily or shiny and sets to a complete matte finish which I love the most. Minus the hydrate part, as I doesn't notice it that it hydrates the skin so a big con for the dry skin folks. The dispenser, dispense just the right amount of product to get the application done. Little goes a LONG way so I only use half pea sized amount for both cheeks. The application can be a bit tricky. Either you have a steady hand and apply in tiny dots on cheek blend it out as quickly as possible, or with the beauty blender for the air brush finish. You can dab some product on the back of your hand and apply it using stippling brush and blend it out for the pretty wash of color without going overboard and then use flat top to angled kabuki brush to buff it into the skin for a flawless and seamless application. As it dries pretty fast as soon as you start blending them and once you have it on it is nearly impossible to remove them because these stain the skin this is the reason you have to be quicker whilst blending them out to avoid having cheek stains/patches. In case, you think the product has been applied too much just the quick swipe of powder blush or little face powder to tone it down.
The consistency of the of the blush is of a liquid lipstick and the staying power is just OH-SO-AH-MAH-ZING. This is just incredible. It lasted on me for good seven to eight hours having primer underneath over foundation. Since it's waterproof, is another plus point, but for some it might be bothersome.
Overall, the blush has its own hits and misses but for me, this is SO good for its price and its properties. The application is bit tricky to but once you have mastered a technique that works for you, you will love it. It dries to a nice matte finish you can use it as a lip stain too having lip balm underneath and clear gloss on top. As for the packaging and measure, I must say I was clearly disappointed my the super tiny packaging (just 3 inches) but trust me this is going to lasts you for a quite long time since you just need super tiny amount for application.
